
Aston Martin DB6 Short Chassis
The short chassis was the first db6 volante, it was build at a DB5 chassis which was shorter as the DB6 production cars, only 37 cars were build of which only 3 cars were a vantage, our car is a well known none vantage car but converted by us to vantage specification.

The engine just returned into the car.

The rebuild engine close before it returned into the car.

The cylinder head just finished with new valve guides and seats and inlet port flowing.

In this stage the new distribution set-up and chains were just fitted including the oil pump set-up and now ready to fit the distribution cover.

Here the new Cosworth piston’s were just fitted into the new home made liners.

Here the replacement vantage carburettors and airbox.

Here the engine in our test bed were it had just running for some hours.

The door window set-up just returned after some alterations to give the system more stability.
